Hi, I’m Angeleca.

You can call me Jelly.

I’m a postpartum doula who provides Asian-inspired postpartum care (that’s a little more modern and flexible than your aunties would provide).

At Sitting Moon Doula, I help new parents and families feel confident and supported during the exciting (and challenging!) first weeks after baby comes home. Based on your preferences, I can go as traditional or modern as you’d like.

Sitting Moon Doula provides

evidence-based information and Asian-inspired care during your postpartum period.

The Sitting Month is such a beautiful and necessary part of postpartum recovery. Unfortunately, in today’s fast-paced world, these important practices can get lost. To me, the most essential practices are:

Nutritious Meals

Belly Binding

Restorative Baths

Restorative Baths are essential for postpartum healing and are a service offered by Sitting Moon Doula in Seattle

Rest

Rest is essential for postpartum healing and is encouraged by Sitting Moon Doula in Seattle.

To your home, I bring:

A feeling of community.

Growing up, I always felt so lucky to be surrounded by loving family members who all helped each other. In my work, I want to reinvigorate the time when a community came together in bringing new life into the world — not only helping the birth parent, but the entire family adjust to this new exciting chapter!

A positive, knowledgeable, confident, joyful environment.

The birth of a new baby is one of the biggest transitions of your life! While it comes with great happiness, it also comes with a regular dose of challenges. I help you:

  • Rest, recover, and nourish your body
  • Have time and space to bond with baby
  • Build a confident skillset
  • Tap into your intuition
  • Honor this sacred time
  • Gain peace of mind
  • Navigate challenges
  • Laugh!
A knack for babies (and tons of training + experience).

I’ve always been drawn to babies and children. My mother told me that at age 4, I innately knew how to hold a baby and support their neck in just the right way — and by 6, I could easily soothe a baby who was upset. Nobody in my family was surprised when I became a doula, or that I am pursuing a degree in nursing with a goal of opening a birth center to help close the gaps in reproductive healthcare. I’m a caregiver at my core.

A whole plethora of postpartum doula specialties.

My style of care is intended to help you integrate baby into your life in a confident, natural, and organic way.
