My postpartum doula specialties include:
Emotional Support & Guidance
Birth always comes with big emotions — some serious, some lighthearted. Through the joy and the discomfort, my families tell me that I provide a much-appreciated calming presence. Inviting someone into your home during this vulnerable time is no small ask, and I aim to put my families at ease.
Lactation & Breastfeeding Support
For new parents who choose to breastfeed, the first few days are critical and often come with challenges. I am here to guide you through it. The CDC reports that only 25%–45% of infants are exclusively breastfed within the first 3–6 months. Out of the families I’ve served, about 75% have been able to exclusively breastfeed.
Newborn Care Guidance
Expect evidence-based information and tools to help you gain a confident skillset in caring for your infant while also helping you tap into your intuition. You know so much more than you might realize!
Flexible Overnight & Daytime Support
Depending on your needs and my availability, and based on our ongoing communication, I flexibly support you during the day or overnight.
Nutritional Meal Prep & Grocery Shopping
Every time I’m in your home for 4+ hours, I make at least one dish from my meal plan protocol (enough for the whole family). Derived from traditional Asian postpartum practices, but more modern (and customized to your preferences), my meals are tailored to the healing process — to help nourish, rehydrate, and heal the body. Don’t worry — I handle the shopping for these ingredients, and you can reimburse me.
Bengkung Belly Binding
Before birth, this traditional Malaysian belly binding method helps reduce discomfort and relieve back pressure. After birth, it assists the body and its organs in coming back into place. I do this for my moms in their third trimester and after the birth of the baby. I can even teach you to wrap yourself!
Light Tidying
I help to keep your home running smoothly by chipping in to help with baby laundry, dishes, and tidying up. If you are looking for a housekeeper, I can recommend some excellent ones!
Cloth Diapering
An organized, streamlined process can make cloth diapering a breeze. If you choose cloth diapering, I can help you put a system into place.
Infant Massage
Infant massage can help to empower parents and promote happy families through parent–baby communication and responsiveness. Infant massage can help relieve babies from the soreness they feel from being born as well as the discomfort of gas.
Elimination Communication (EC)
EC gives newborns the opportunity to poop and pee on the potty! It’s all about listening to baby’s verbal and nonverbal cues. Not only can it be a wonderful way to bond with baby, it also can result in them being potty trained at an early age!
Birth Story Processing
Things can happen fast during birth — a whirlwind. It is important and helpful to talk through this experience, process it, and come to a place of peace for the family as a whole.
Aromatherapy
I love incorporating essential oils into the postpartum recovery journey. The right mix can aid relaxation, sleep quality, healing, a positive mood, and prolactin levels.
Sibling Support
Bringing home a new baby also is a big transition for siblings! I can help ease this transition by giving older children activities and responsibilities; helping them be involved in the postpartum experience; and helping them to feel seen, heard, and cared for during this big life change (while also ensuring parents have time to rest).
Babywearing
Carrying baby in a sling or wrap can enhance connection, ease breastfeeding, and help baby feel more comfortable. I can assist you with both traditional and modern approaches to babywearing so you can find what works best for you.

I love being part of the birth-work community here in the Greater Seattle area. Through my connections, I can refer professionals for all of your needs, from photographers and house cleaners to infant nannies and lactation consultants.
